Happy Halloween!

Emma Stone showed us how to do the perfect 'Glam Goth' look at the Amazing Spiderman premiere - ideal for Halloween!

This look is perfect for a red carpet style vampire! She looked so striking at The Amazing Spider-Man film premiere in her floor sweeping, Gucci dress and vintage inspired hair and makeup. The contrast of the dark, plum lipstick with her blonde, A-symmetric curls is just fab!

To achieve this vamped up retro style, always start with a great volumising spray at the roots! Then create full, bouncy curls with your curling iron (make sure to hold your curling iron vertically and pull it out from the bottom to keep the form) and pin underneath on one side. Finish off with a liberal coating of hairspray and then run your fingers through for a looser effect.

Had quite a dramatic wedding the other day!
The hair and makeup for the bride all went smoothly and she was looking fabulous in her Hollywood, red carpet style, drapey dress - all ready to leave for the church...when suddenly her sister, who is 8 and a half months pregnant, had to make a mad dash to the hospital!

Fortunately, mother and baby are both absolutely fine and they made it to the ceremony just in the nick of time :) what a relief!

Busy Bee!

Phew! It's been a busy couple of weeks.
Had a lovely powder blue colour themed wedding on the 29th September. Our bride, Kathryn, and her three bridesmaids all looked beautiful in blue with their hair half up, half down - can't wait to see the photos! I will post those here when I get them :)

I received this gorgeous photo of my 17th May Bride, Hattie, showing up her half up half down 'do!

An excellent trial run for Joanna's big day, where we decided on a really on trend messy side bun, which is a little messy here as it was our 4th style, but she looked amazing the following day and celebrated in style at the Bluebird, Chelsea!

More weddings and trials this week, plus work on a brand new website! Very exciting! This will have some great 'how to' sections and all the latest top tips and trends, so keep a look out for that coming soon!

Had a very busy weekend as usual :)

Spent Friday doing a trial Bridal Hair session (which you can find info on here: http://www.weddingmakeupandhair.com/php/prices.php) where we experimented with some gorgeous, soft, side buns and lots of plaits, before settling on a really beautiful waterfall plait going into a side bun! Best of both worlds! That is for, what I'm sure will be a fabulous wedding, on October 5th - so photos of that coming soon!

On Saturday I had an amazing time creating some really fantastic looks on our blushing bride, Georgina, and her 5 bridemaids who were all wearing red to match the deep, red rose bouquets. Georgina had opted for a flowing down 'do', adorned with a glittering tiara and veil, while her beautiful bridesmaids all had side buns. They all looked very glam!! Photos taken by Damien Bailey, to follow. xxx

Highclere Castle - Jessy and Paul's wedding!

Last month, I was thrilled to be a part of Jessy and Paul's big day at the amazing Highclere Castle (the setting for Downton Abbey!).
It was a truly beautiful event and Jessy and Paul seemed very much in love. It is always such a privilege to be able to contribute on momentous occasions like these.

Here's to Jessy and Paul and their long, happy marriage!
