Laura and Yusif

I had another fabulous wedding at the uber-glam Savoy just before Christmas, this time with my stunning bride, Laura who was marrying the equally wonderful Yusif!

I was really thrilled to have the opportunity to work in the Charlie Chaplin Suite, named for his frequent visits to this lavish hotel. Monet, Sir Winston Churchill, The Beatles and Marilyn Monroe were among other icons who spent time not only staying but living there! And I can see why...

I'm sure that you will agree that Laura looked beautiful for her big day with her elegantly curled up do and fixed veil.

After the wedding, Laura and Yusif jetted off to Vienna for Christmas and New Year's Eve....I'm sure they're having a fantastic time!!

It was a great day. Thanks for letting me be a part of it! xx

December Weddings!

Busy, busy, busy!
Don't you just love December? It's such an exciting month with everyone getting into full swing with the festive spirit - it's definitely one of my favourite times for weddings. Extra sparkle! Especially when they are held are truly fabulous venues!

Last Saturday, I had a great time working with Kirsty at the Renaissance Hotel in St Pancreas. She was wearing an elegant, lace dress and her 6 little bridemaids looks adorable in their frilly, purple party dresses! I am really looking forward to the photos from this one. Just look at how fantastic the photographer is: www.weddingsvintage.com

I also had the chance to be involved with an uber-glam do at the Savoy yesterday...the decorations were really something!

Thanks ladies, for making my job so exciting! xxx

Winter Hair Tips

The cold weather can play havoc with your ordinarily tame tresses, so here are some tops tips to keep your locks looking great this winter!

  • With the weather getting colder, it can be tough to keep your curls bouncy when using products instead of hard and crunchy! Try Tigi's Foxy Curls contour cream. It is moisture rich, so it softens rather than stiffens!

  • Want to avoid bad hat hair? For long hair, twist and secure a high bun on the top of you head before adoring your headgear and just shake loose when you take it off again! For short hair, pull the front section of your hair into four small bumps and secure with grips. This will keep your hair bouncy, not flattened!

  • Try more updos this winter. Not only will they help to protect your hair from the harsh cold, wind and rain; but they also look wonderfully festive!!

  • Sick of the wind causing your once shiny, smooth hair to become a matte, tangled mess? Try using a leave-in conditioner after each wash to build stronger hair and help keep tangles away. Also, keep some conditioning spray or a shine boosting serum in your hand bag for quick touch ups.

  • And last but not least, remember to keep your hair super moisturised! The harsh elements will really dry out your hair, not to mention the increased use of heat styling; so make sure that you stick to moisturiser, sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners, ditch anything 'volumising' as that will also dry your hair out; and deep condition once a week. Try Shu Uemura Art of Hair Moisture Velvet Nourishing Treatment. It works wonders!
