I got this very special thank you note from Rachel after her trial run. . .

Hi Pam

I wanted to thank you again for such a wonderful afternoon on Wednesday. Mum and I were just completely buzzing - not just because of what a wonderful job you did with our hair and make-up (and it really was WONDERFUL...who knew you would be able to make us both look like we had so much more hair!?!?!) but because we had such a wonderful afternoon with you. I'm not sure if I ever mentioned that my Dad passed away about 8 weeks ago after a battle with lung cancer, so the wedding preparations have been a little muted as we've had a difficult few months. You completely took us out of that feeling, and that you made Mum in particular feel so special, pampered and beautiful, is something I will be forever grateful for. After you left, Mum commented several times that you were one of the warmest, most interesting and all-round fabulous people she has met in such a long time - so you have fans for life!

To that end, we also wanted to extend an invitation to you to join us for the rest of the wedding day, as a guest. We won't be offended at all if you're not able to join us (or have a policy not to attend 'client' weddings - I'd completely understand that could get a bit much!!) but it would be lovely if you would like to join us. Your partner would of course be welcome too. We have been asked many times if we're inviting hairdressers and vicars and florists and all the other people involved in preparing for the wedding and so far have been saying 'no' - so please know that this invitation is extended very warmly and not out of a sense of 'oh, it's probably polite'!!! As I say though, no expectation either way so do just let us know.

Just received a lovely note from Suzanne . . .my bride from Great Fosters from Wednesday 20 April: Hi Pam I just wanted to say an absolutely massive thank you for making me look so amazing on Wednesday, you made me look so fabulous and I was so so pleased with what you did. My eyes looked stunning and my make up stayed on all day and so many people said how fabulous I looked and that my make up was stunning. Honestly everyone was so complimentary about it and I just wanted to let you know all the compliments that I got. You were a dream to be around and your flair and professionalism really made my day and made me feel so special !!! Thank you for everything, I will send you some photos as soon as I get my hands on them, which should be in a couple of weeks, but once again, thank you so much for everything !!!!! Busy wedding weekend!

I've had busy wedding weekend and had a lovely day on Saturday . . . a  very happy bride . . . had a lovely time working with Shirley at Chandos House ...and had a lovely message off Shirley this morning:


Hi Pam,

Just a quick note to say thank you so much for being so wonderful on Saturday. Not only a 'wizard' (as my niece Megan put it) who made us all look so wonderful, naturally and beautifully glamorous, but who was such a calming joy to be in a room with nervous bride, fussing mums, tomboy bridesmaid and a whole other assortment of people.

There were a few unexpected additions to the make-up/hair schedule - please do let me know what these cost and I will transfer the money straightaway.

Once again thank you - my husband Stuart was gobsmacked - he just kept saying as we stood before the registrar 'you look stunning darling').

Hi Pam,

Happy New Year!

So sorry for the delay in writing to you, it was all a bit hectic after the wedding what with leaving for our three month break to Argentina.  We're well into the swing of life on the road now and really enjoying ourselves.  Can't say that we are missing London at all, especially the weather!

I wanted to drop you a line though to thank you so much for being a part of our wedding.  My make-up and hair was amazing, so many people commented on it on the day.  It was a real shame having to take it off!  The hair stayed in place all day, didn't move an inch!  Thanks also for doing Mum's hair and make-up, it made her feel like a very special mother of the bride and I've never seen her look so excited as she was with her false eyelashes!  Thanks especially for being so great to work with, you definitely helped to keep everyone at ease during the preparations.
